From Charles Quint to Louis XIV and La Fayette, we will plunge into the troubled and extensive history of the French and Spanish kingdoms. From the invicible Armada to the first large whale ships, a range of Southern European maritime history is written along the stones, paths and waterfronts of these ports which we will discover together – meandering along narrow windy roads and through the heart of wild and unspoilt countryside.

Wine & Gastronomy

Surrounded by great Southern European winemakers, we will discover together the numerous grand cru, from Bordeaux and the Jurançon to the great wines of Rioja and Navarre and the wines of Irouleguy whose viniards date back to the 11th century. The many great restaurants of the region – Michelin starred or not – will allow us to better appreciate all of these famous nectars.
Some key points :
San Sebastian with an evening of spanish-wines and tapas, a visit to Saint Emilion and the Graves region of Bordeaux, the secret wine maker of the Jurançon.

For lovers of golf, historic courses at the foot of the Pyrenees or surrounding ocean's cost-line, while away your day whilst the evening beakons with some of the best dining the Basque region can offer. As the day draws to a close you will soon appreciate that the Basque way of life is an art in itself.
